The Trivial Mermaid fans want chef Gordon Ramsay to play Louis in the alive-activity remake of the movie, which will star 19-yr-sometime black extra Halle Bailey in the lead function.

In the original 1989 blithe film, Prince Eric'south chef, Louis, constantly tries to cook Sebastian the crab every time he ventures into the kitchen.

The 52-yr-old Ramsay is known for yelling, blasphemous and generally being very scary in shows such as Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

Fans started floating effectually the idea on social media when ane person tweeted: "Okay, hear me out, Gordon Ramsay as Prince Eric's angry French chef, Louis." Some other fan agreed: "Okay tin can we have Gordon Ramsay every bit chef Louis for the live activeness of the little mermaid?!?"

The office of the angry chef hasn't been cast as yet, along with Sebastian, King Triton, Prince Eric and Ursula'southward eels, Flotsam and Jetsam.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Awkwafina and Jacob Tremblay are in talks to play Scuttle and Flounder, respectively. Melissa McCarthy is as well in discussions to star as Ursula the witch.

The annunciation that 19-year-old actress Bailey will be playing Ariel was met with some backlash from those who want the character to remain white.

Meanwhile, Gordon's angry side stayed subconscious while he was teaching Lil Nas X to cook a Panini. The American rapper has a hitting song called Panini, which has nothing to do with the food detail and references a cartoon character from the animated TV series Chowder.

The special collaboration happened when Lil Nas X exchanged tweets with Ramsay on Jul ane, asking the chef to teach him how to make a Panini. He later revealed that Ramsay didn't yell at him.
